2007 Pulilan Town Fiesta

25 05 2007

This is very late to be post… The Fiesta was last 14th & 15th of May, but as I told before sa dami nang lakad and kompormiso kaya nagkanda-delay-delay ang aking post… There is a time that I took shoot the graduation of my cousin… She graduated in St. Luke’s College of Medecine and Wow! ha! May cousin na me na Doctora! and I am very proud of her…

Haaayyy… Sana magsilaki na sila!

By the way, busugin ko nalang ang inyong mga mata sa mga photo which was taken during the Pulilan Town Fiesta… I hope magustuhan ninyo…

I would like also to thank masterbetong for his effort and for granting my invitation…

Masterbetong on the move…

While waiting for the parade…

The Majorettes and other Participants

The Water Bufalo (Carabao/Kalabaw)

Gadgets…

27 04 2007

I bought two slightly used SIGMA lens early of this Months from Sir Ricky S. Santos who is one of our senior member of Desert Foxs. A telephoto zoom lens SIGMA 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG MACRO and the another zoom lens which is SIGMA 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC that can be use from wide angle to telephoto, zoom lens that can capture a wide range of subjects.

He sell it to me including the filter for a very cheap price kaya I grab it agad. And another reason is it will help me to enhance more my skills… Kaya I think for a freshman like me okay lang na pag-aralan ko muna and to master how to use these types of lens bago ako bumili nang ina-aspire kong Canon lens which is EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM and Canon MACRO lens.

Grabeh!

Anyway, here are the continuation nang aking shots noong umatend kami ng Horse Show…

Kaso Kailan kaya iyo!? Yung ang isang malaking tanong!

As I said to my last post entitled Photo Practice… There is an event “Spring Horse Show” at the Saudi Aramco Dhahran which was organized by Saudi Aramco Arabian Horse Association (DAHA), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We was invited by a group of photographers here in Kingdom called Desert Foxes which lead by Mr. Jose “Ka Pepe” De Luna… Together with Don Trinidad, Ross Valerio and his Family, around 5:30pm of Mrach 8, 2007 we traveled from Jubail going to Khobar and stayed in ARWAD Suites for one night and the day after, early in the morning we meet some contigent from other places of Kingdom at Al-Ramaniah Shopping Center…

As a wanabie, I really enjoy and lucky to be one of them and meet professional photographers who shared their skills and teached me to practice and improve myself in this kind of art…

Here are some of my shots during the event…

Walking with her horse…

Checking for safety… Getting ready…

What a cute little rider with a sweet smile…Look at the camera… Ok! 1.. 2.. GOTCHA!

warming up… Another cute little rider…

All are ready for the event…Hmmm… nice horse! Hehehehehe…

Also, try to visit Kneeko‘s homepage to see his compositions… and check the Digital Photographer Philippines forum, “DESERT FOXES: Big, big, big EB in KSA” for more eye catching photo’s by the members of Desert Foxes…

Wait for my next posts and I will post more photo’s but first, I need to edit those before posting… Para naman po okay sa mga viewers…

My Birdie…

12 02 2007

His name is TONY and I named him after a famous Filipino star Tony Ferrrer, who is popularized the character Tony Falcon/Agent X44 in the 60s, a character inspired by James Bond.

Tony is a small breed of Falcon called MERLIN (Falco Columbarius), which was captured wild at the desert of Jubail, Saudi Arabia during the spring time of 2006 by Mohammed Rashid Al-Buainain and give to me as a token of friendship and for treating me like one of his brother.

MERLIN (Falco Columbarius)The Merlin is Britain’s smallest falcon with a maximum wingspan of only 2ft, but it is probably the most active. It does not stoop on its prey but chases it down in high speed pursuit, rising above the prey at the last instant to strike downwards with its talons.
Britain’s 1,300 Merlin pairs represent about 95% of the total European population. It is a population which continues to decline: the reasons for the fall are not fully understood but, since the Merlin is a predominantly ground-nesting bird which preys largely on small birds, one of the major factors would be secondary pesticide poisoning.

FACT FILE:
LENGTH: 25 – 30cms (10 – I 2ins)
WINGSPAN: 50 – 62cms (20 – 24ins)
WEIGHT: 0.12 – 0.30kg (4oz – I I oz)
HABITAT: Open upland country. Hilly areas offer the best vantage points. Nests frequently in patches of heather. Some birds have recently taken to the forest margins.
CONSERVATION STATUS: Ironically, Britain’s northern grouse moors seem to offer this bird its best chance of survival, but only if the Merlin is allowed to live free of persecution by gamekeepers.
